This image of Comet Hyakutake was taken by David Nakamoto through the Stony Ridge 6-inch f/15 refractor, using a PIXEL Group PXL-211 CCD camera, on March 23rd 1996 at approximately 10:00 P.M. PST. The ten-second exposure was processed twice with an unsharp mask and then false-colored to bring out details. David used Axiom Research's Mira A/P and then resampled the original 165x165 image to 400x400 using Paint Shop Pro 3. The field of view is a little over 3.9 arc minutes.
